Tiraah Elizabeth Hunt was born on April2,1982 in Bluefield, WV. Tiraah transitioned this life for eternity on Sunday, October 27, 2024 in Bluefield, WV at the age of 42. Tiraah received her early education through Mercer County Schools where she was a graduate of Bluefield High School. Tiraah attended East Tennessee State;Bluefield State College and received her Regents of Bachelor of Arts Degree; Concord University where she studied Psychology and obtained her Master of Social Work Degree. Tiraah was a loving, caring individual and a devoted chi d of God. Her life was a living embodiment of kindness and dedication to her faith and family. Tiraah held dual church membership at Tynes Chapel Zion Church and Scott Street Baptist Church. During Tiraah's childhood, she was taught the importance of being a faithful servant of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. She served as the Regional CARE Coordinator for Commission on Children CARE Project for the Christian Education Department of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church; East Tennessee and Virginia Conference Director of Vacation Bible School; Bluefield District Director of Christian Education Department for Children; Director of Buds in the Missionary Society. Tiraah dedicated the majority of her adult life to education and social working field, where she compassionately cared for others; which reflected her natural, nurturing character. She was employed by Fresh Start Family Services, Princeton WV as a Professional/ Family Service Manager. She was previously employed by WV Birth to Three, Substitute Teacher in Mercer and Tazewell Counties. Additional employers include H & R Block as a Tax Consultant, Test children in various activities such as band, academic programs. Tiraah found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as cooking, crafting, singing and showing love and laughter to all that she encountered. Tiraah is survived by her parents, Willie and Tina Hunt of Bluefield, WV; son, Jessiah Hunt; bonus daughter Jazmyn Spruiell. Tiraah leaves cherished memories to her siblings: Britney and Whitney (Bernard) Hunt. Her special "side kick", Kolver Wilburn; Jaliel (nephew) ;Taureanne (niece}. A Special friend, Lamar Spruiell. Her legacy extends to a host of family and friends who will miss her deeply. A Celebration of life for Tiraah Hunt will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home 1231 W. Cumberland Rd. Bluefield, West Virginia at 2:00 PM. The viewing is scheduled 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM. Pastor Garry Moore of Scott Street Baptist Church, Eulogist and Pastor Marvienne Johnson of Tynes Chapel Zion Church,Presiding.
