Terry Lou Quesenberry

Terry Lou Quesenberry was born November 14th, 1942 and departed on June 19th, 2025. He was raised in Caretta, WV and graduated from Big Creek High School. After graduation, he enlisted with the United States Airforce and served as a medic for almost seven years during the Vietnam War era. Terry Quesenberry continued his higher education and earned degrees from Concord College and Radford University. Terry Quesenberry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roland and June Quesenberry, his eldest brother, David Quesenberry, and his wife, Carol Farmer Quesenberry. He was a carpenter, Princeton Community Hospital medical technician, an educator, and a principal. As principal he faithfully served the Bramwell, Brushfork, and Athens school children and communities. He took a great deal of pride in the schools he led and the children he served. Terry Quesenberry is survived by three daughters, their respective families, and two brothers: Tiffany and Douglas Jones (Turner Jones and Maggie Jones), Tonya and Keith Beckett, Raegan and Jude Kotsko (Zoe Kotsko and Dominic Kotsko). Larry Quesenberry and Timothy Quesenberry are his surviving brothers. “Gramps” was especially proud of his four grandchildren and received a great deal of pleasure in spoiling them to pieces, attending school events, and celebrating holidays and birthdays together. Additional special family members included: Nicole McCarley and family of Inwood, WV, Gabriella Hatcher and family of Austin, TX, Ray and Sarah Farmer, and Leah Jansky and family, all of Atlanta, Georgia. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and employees of the Havens in Princeton, WV. The staff was wonderful in their interactions and care for our father in the last several years of his life. We, also, want to extend our gratitude for the daytime and nighttime staff at Princeton Community Hospital WVU. In the last two weeks of his life their compassion, kindness, and empathy did not go unnoticed and we could not have asked for better care. We know that Terry is restored in health. In keeping with his personal wishes, he has been cremated and the ashes will be dispersed in a private family service. A remembrance service will be held on July, 12th,2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV. The family will receive visitation from 11am-12pm followed by a short service of remembrance from Noon to 12:30pm. Terry Quesenberry requested donations be made to the Betty Puskar Cancer Center, WVU in lieu of flowers.
