Bluefield, WV? - Sarah "Ruth" Tucker, 82 of Route 2, Box 682 Bluefield, WV died following a long illness and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday August 11, 2008 in a Galax, VA hospital.?? ???? Born October 24, 1925 in Gilliam, WV she was the daughter of the late Rev. James H. and Bertle Sisk Gentry.? She was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle Church and was a retired manager of Rite Aid after 22 years. In addition to the parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Stance" Tucker; a son, James Larry Tucker; great grandchild, Nikki Baker; and sisters Thelma Cain, Goldie Poe and Margaret Shumate. ???? Surviving Mrs. Tucker are her daughter, Linda Price and husband Jack of Bluefield, WV; son, Stanley "Colie" Tucker and his wife Donna of Mt. Airy, NC, sisters, Violet Bobbit and husband Joe of Lambsburg, VA, Madgaline Cain of Sanford, NC and Frances Collins and her husband Robert of Mt. Airy, NC; a brother George Gentry of Mt. Airy, NC; nine grandchildren, David Pennington and wife Karen, Keith Pennington, Chris Pennington and James Workman and wife Sharon, Crystal Gillispie and husband Chad, Kelly Baker and husband Tony, Becky Long and husband Brian, Jamie Tucker and wife Pam and Gary Tucker; great-grandchildren, Noah and Adam Pennington, Gage and Zac Pennington, Kayla, Autumn, Ryan, Natalie and Ashton Pennington, Samantha Jessee, Cortney and Chad Gillispie, Tucker Workman, Brittnay, Tyler and Jacob Short, Arika and Josiah Baker and Dustin Miller. ???? Funeral Services for Mrs. Tucker will be conducted on Thursday August 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Pennington and Rev. George Johnston officiating.? Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.? The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday August 14, 2008 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.?
