Pete Bellini

Pete Bellini, 94, of Bluefield, WV passed away at his home on May 5, 2023, after a difficult battle with cancer. Pete was born in Wilco, WV on March 14, 1929. He was a son of the late Donato and Giuditta Montenegro Bellini, they immigrated from Italy, arriving in the United States shortly before Pete’s birth. Pete was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield, WV. He was a member and past president of the Triangle Gun Club in Tazewell County, VA. Like his wife, Inez, Pete was also a proud member of The Gashouse sports league, where he was known as "Italian Stallion". Pete was the owner and operator of Pete’s Refrigeration Service for more than 50 years. Together, Pete and Inez built a rewarding business in a very demanding trade. Pete was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was recently preceded in death by his loving wife, of 64 year, Inez Morehead Bellini; a son: David Albert Bellini; a brother: Umberto Bellini; his daughter-in-law: Donna Marie Bellini; a sister-in-law: Reba Lee Shrout; three brothers-in-law: Harold Francis Morehead, Claude Shrader Morehead, and Albert Leonard Morehead. Pete is survived by his sons: Danny Pete Bellini of Bluefield, WV and Steve Bellini and his wife Beth Morgan of Princeton, WV, a daughter-in-law: Sharon Ann Bellini of Princeton, WV, one brother-in-law: Thomas Edwin Morehead and his wife Janet of Alexandria, VA, two grandchildren: Christopher Ryan Bellini and wife Kayla, David Michael Bellini and Caci Surbaugh, three great grandchildren: Madyson Taylor, Carter David and Mia Grace Bellini, a special niece: Donnita Lawrence, and extraordinary friends: Vickie Lijoi, Buno and Michelle Lijoi, Dr. D.G. Javier and Patricia Coleman, and Bobby Slade. Pete will be missed daily by his beloved dog, Maggie. Pete also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as shooting buddies, life-long customers and friends. A Christian Services will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at Mercer Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Fr. Devasya Sebastian officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, in Bluewell,WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
