Bluefield- Nancy Carol (Ruble) Lester, 70, of 105 Doak Street Bluefield, VA, formerly of Double Gates, Bluefield, VA, left her home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 21, 2008,following an extended illness. ??? Born December 2, 1937 in Bluefield,WV, she was a daughter of the late George Allen and Helen Dennis Ruble. Mrs. Lester was an active member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ of Bluefield, WV the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and the Bethany Circle. She was a very proud graduate of Bluefield High School Class of 1955 and anxiously awaited her class reunions. She was passionate about cultivating African Violets. Nancy was formerly employed by Bluefield Casket Company and Bluefield State College. ?? In addition to her parents, her husband, William? R. "Bill" Lester; a grandson, Austin Gilpin, and a brother, James Ruble preceded Mrs. Lester in death. ?? Survivors include three daughters; Diana Feuchtenberger of Bluefield, WV, Jan Gilpin and husband David of Sarasota, FL; April Lewis and husband Matthew of Bluefield, VA. Four cherished grandchildren also survive Mrs. Lester: Ali Feuchtenberger, Hunter Gilpin, Candice Lewis and Emily Lewis. Surviving extended family members include a sister: Phyllis Farmer of Roanoke, VA; brothers and sister-in-law: Sid and Ruth Lester, Virginia L. Martin, and Doris "Tot" Kerley; and several nieces, nephews and their families. ?? Funeral services for Mrs. Lester will be conducted Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the First Christian Church with the Rev. Aaron Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Princeton, WV. ?? The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, June 23, 2008 from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. ??
