Margaret Lambert

Bluefield, WV - Margaret Cathrine "Peggy" Sullivan Lambert, 77, of 3926 Carey Street, Bluefield, WV passed away Friday December 12, 2008 at Nelson's Assisted Living in Glenwood. Born September 15, 1931 in London, England, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice Sullivan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bill Lambert; two sisters and four brothers. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family, and a sweet, courageous lady to all to the end. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Snyder and her husband Gene of Princeton; her sons, Jason Lambert and wife Pam of Rocky Gap and Mark Lambert of Bluefield; grandchildren, Christy Snyder, Karen Schrage, Cathy Schrage, Tracey Linkous, Kelly Lambert, Ariel Lambert, Adam Lambert, Lindsey Blevins, Josh Blevins; five great-granchildren, Madelyn Hurt, Kali & Eric Linkous, Kennedy Shields and Cianna Phelps; special sisters-in-law, Louise Dangerfield, Janice Durham, Brenda Jackson, and Helen Lambert, who is deceased; and an honorable mention to special caregivers, Becky, Karen, Kelsey, Sarah and Shelby. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 53 years and had been a member of Grace Baptist Church, where she was Church Secretary. She retired in 1997 from Mercer County Schools as a cook at Fairview Junior, Bluefield Middle and Memorial Schools. After retiring she was active as a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital, bowled on a league, and traveled with her senior friends. The family will receive friends at Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield on Sunday evening December 14, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday December 15, 2008 from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mac McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be William P. Cisco, Zach Schrage, Luke Schrage, Danny Linkous, Hampton Shields and Channing Basham.
