Bailey Caudill

Princeton, WV - GENE BAILEY CAUDILL went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 24, 2014, after a short illness. Born at Bailey Switch in Tazewell County on June 14, 1930, and was 83 years of age at the time of his passing. Gene was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he actively served as a Deacon and chaired the Property Committee. He served his Country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged on October 6, 1953. He established and ran his own plumbing business - Caudill Plumbing and Heating ?" of which he actively participated until 2006. Gene resided at The Havens at Princeton, West Virginia from January 2012 until his passing. He attended Sunday school regularly and fondly referred to The Havens as home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Robert Lee Caudill, brother Robert Lee Caudill, Jr., wife Jo Ann Boyd Caudill and son Mark Steven Caudill all of Bluefield. He leaves behind a sister Martha Ann Rebuck and husband Johnny of Eatonton, GA; brother David Franklin Caudill and wife Dorothy of Branford, FL; daughter Teresa Caudill Harry, husband Jason, and their children Steven Harry, Lynn Harry Thompson, and Lisa Harry Horne; daughter Angela Caudill McCall and husband Ron; son Craig Caudill, wife Sarah, and daughter Elaina; great grandchildren Sydney Harry, Alexis Harry, Taylor Thompson, Paige Horne, Keirstin Horne, and Bryce Horne; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Gene from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, February 24th at Mercer Funeral Home located on Cumberland Road, Bluefield, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church located on the corner of Washington and Albemarle Streets, Bluefield, West Virginia, on Tuesday, February 25th at 11 a.m. with graveside rights following at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church and friends of Gene. The family asks donations be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church in honor of Gene Caudill in lieu of flowers.
