James Taylor Frazier, III, 67 passed away into a new life on February 13, 2022 with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his father, James T. Frazier, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Sleeman Frazier; mother, Phyllis Frazier Walker; sister, Diane Frazier Sudduth; beloved golden retriever, Bonnie; nephews, Jarrod Sudduth (Heather) and IV Sudduth (Amber); niece, Grace Taylor Curfman (Blake); brothers-in-law, Cliff Sleeman (Julia) and Rick Sleeman; nephews-in-law, Ford Sleeman and Allen Sleeman (Sarah); great niece and great-nephews (in-law), Charleston, Madison, Greyson, Jaxon, Campbell, William, Henry, and Noah. Taylor was a graduate of Virginia Episcopal School and the University of Richmond. He most recently worked for Maxim Systems. Spending most of his career in the steel industry, he also worked for Ryers/Tull Metals, Cardinal Metals, Samuel Specialty, and East River Metals. He was a passionate fan of WVU Mountaineers and University of Richmond Spider football/basketball and a lifelong admirer of the Dallas Cowboys. If he wasn’t watching his teams or meticulously grooming his yard, he was playing or watching golf. An exceptional golfer, Taylor scored three hole-in-ones and attended his favorite event, The Masters, on many occasions. The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home-Parham on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday February 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Third Church, 600 Forest Avenue, Richmond, VA.
