Bluefield, WV- Bob Dennis, 84, of Bluefield, WV, died Tuesday August 29, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born May 18, 1933 in Tazewell, VA, he was a son of the late John Dennis and Helen Mitchell Dennis. Mr. Dennis had worked at J. L. Lambert Meat Packing Plant in Tazewell, at the ballpark and the city garage for the City of Bluefield, the Salvation Army, and Armstead’s Farm in Tazewell, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Eva Mae Horton and Betty Farmer; sisters, Helen Horton, Lucy Marshall, and Janice Jones; brothers, John, Roy, and Billy Dennis. Survivors include his children, Rickey Dennis of Lebanon, VA, and Tammy Dennis of Bluefield, VA; sisters, Mona Sargeant, Shirley Mitchell, Ruth Dennis, Mary Jane Dennis, and Betty Sue Bell, all of Tazewell, VA, and Beanie Harrison of Cleveland, OH; step-children, Debbie Farmer, Mary Saunders, Brenda Clark, Kathy Harmon, Martha Farmer, and Jimmy Farmer and wife Ellie; and step-grandchildren, Patricia Farmer, Sheila Harmon, Jody Harmon, Lisa Clark, Wayne Matney, James Lowe, Kizzie Lowe, and Kevin Lowe; and step-greatgrandchildren, Patrick Farmer, Payton Farmer, Tray Harmon, Jody Junior Harmon, Cheyenne Harmon, and Levi Harmon. Bob Dennis will be fondly remembered and sadly miss by special friends, Teresa Lawson, Andy Dodson and Dan Brewer. In accordance with Mr. Dennis’ wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services.
