Anna Ruth Chapman, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Georgetown, SC on Wednesday April 11, 2018. She was born on November 29, 1923 in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Richard & Ruth Cline Love. Along with her parents, Anna is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 60 years, Lynn A. Chapman; her son, Donald A. Chapman; her grandson, Elias G. Whalen; her brothers, Jim & Gilbert Love; and her sister, Freda. Anna was a faithful woman with a heart of gold. She was an excellent home maker, fabulous cook and was an expert seamstress in your younger years. She was very active in her church community at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bluefield, West Virginia, where she attended regularly. Her passion in life, was her beautiful family and the church. She will forever be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Left to cherish Anna’s memory are her children, Pam Whalen; David Chapman (Linda) & Randy Chapman (Leslie); her grandchildren, Vanessa Mason, Matthew Whalen, Doug Chapman, Steven Chapman, & Jennifer Chapman Aviles; her great-grandchildren, Owen Mason & Grae Mason; as well as nieces, nephews and supportive friends and neighbors. A Celebration of Anna’s life will be held on Wednesday July 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Monte Vista Park Cemetery with Rev. Wanda Child officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
