Jean B. Malamisura

Jean Elizabeth Bouldin Malamisura Bluefield, WV-Jean Elizabeth Bouldin Malamisura, 87, of Bluefield, WV passed away at her home, while surrounded by her family on July 21,2015. She was born on January 3, 1928 in Peterstown, WV to the late Harvey Lee Bouldin and Edith Dean Dillon Bouldin. Jean was a graduate of Peterstown High School and McClain's Business College. She had been a homemaker for the last 63 years, since the birth of her first child. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she had taught religion classes and belonged to St. Anne's Altar Society. She also assisted her husband, Patsy, in his duties as a longtime officer in The American Legion. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband Patsy T. Malamisura, her firstborn grandchild Christopher Malamisura, brothers James Bouldin and Harvey L. Bouldin, Jr.,and sisters Myrtle Little and Mary Louise Rule. Jean is survived by her children Dr. Michael Malamisura and his wife Mary of Bluefield, WV, Margaret Harless and her husband "Skip" of Rocky Gap, VA, and Rocky Malamisura and his wife Sandra of Bluefield, VA. Other survivors include grandchildren Andrea Malamisura, Zach Perkins, Zane Perkins and his wife Ashby, Kara Perkins Barner and her husband Russ, Emily Malamisura and Tyler Malamisura, along with great-grandchildren Zane Anthony Perkins, Halen Perkins, and Brayden Perkins. Other survivors include her brother Paul (Bud) Bouldin and a special niece Terrie Lynn Hash, both of Peterstown, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield, WV, with Father Elpidio Geneta as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Pallbearers will be Zach Perkins, Zane Perkins, Tyler Malamisura, Russ Barner, Randy Albert, and Bill Hash. The family will receive friends Friday, July 24 at Mercer Funeral Home and Crematory of Bluefield from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.,with a Christian wake service beginning at 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mercer Funeral Home & Crematory of Bluefield is assisting the family with arrangements.
