Helen Virginia Dove 1936- 2008 We sat by your bedside, our hearts were tore. We did our best to the end until we could do no more. In tears we watched you fade away, and while our hearts were breaking We knew that you could not stay. You left behind broken hearts, that love you most sincere. We shall never forget you, our Mother and Grandmother so dear. Surrounded by loved ones, our sweet mother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2008. After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease. Helen was retired from Bluefield Regional Medical Center, where she was a unit secretary. She also worked at the Bluefield Sanitarium. Helen was a strong and beautiful woman. She was also a wonderful and beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Earl Dove and father, Carter Phillips. She is survived by her five loving children; Randy Dove and wife Belinda of Bluefield, WV, Ronnie Dove and wife Linda of Bluefield,VA. Brenda Noble and husband Willie of Bluefield, WV. Nancy Caldwell of Princeton,WV, Valorie Williams and husband Rob of Montea, VA. Who cared and loved her dearly for the last year and a half. Grandchildren; Randi Leigh and Patrick Dove, Mollie and Sammy Dove, Kellis and Zachory Noble, Dustin and Brett Caldwell and Brandon Williams. One Great-grandchild; Logan Brewster. Mother; Alberta Phillips. Sisters; Bonnie Myers, Beulah McIntosh, Charlotte Craig of Hickory, NC. Brothers; Bill Phillips and Roger Phillips. A very special Aunt Elizabeth Steele of Richmond, VA. Our Mother and Grandmother will be sadly missed, but her spirit will remain in our hearts forever. The family will receive friends at Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV from 6 - 8 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 At 2:00 P.M. at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens.
