Frank Michael Mamone

Frank Michael Mamone of Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away on January 18, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. Born on July 4, 1945, in Princeton, West Virginia, to Tony and Barbara Mamone, Frank grew up in Matoaka until age eight before the family relocated to Bluefield. He was an altar boy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he also attended grade school. Frank graduated from Bluefield High School in 1963 and later earned an Accounting Degree from Bluefield State College. Frank married Helen Carole Counts, June 29, 1968, and had two daughters, Leah Catherine Farrin and Gina Marie Mamone. He was a doting grandfather to Amelia, whose talents and achievements brought him great joy. For over 42 years, Frank owned and operated Carpet Wholesale Outlet. Known for his generous spirit, Frank was involved with the Food Pantry at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was beloved by his nieces and nephews. His weekly poker games at Fincastle and love for spaghetti and meatballs were legendary among family and friends. He brought happiness into our lives and created beautiful memories that we will cherish in his honor. Frank is survived by his wife, Carole Mamone, daughters Leah Catherine Farrin and Gina Marie Mamone. Granddaughter Amelia Grace Farrin. His sisters, Yolanda Mamone (Bill), Jean Riecken (Glenn), Susie Holdren (Rodney), Frances Mamone (Steve), and Theresa Liipfert (Bailey). His brothers, Tony Mamone (Habibi) and Michael Mamone (Ryan). His sister-in-law Ann Rauhauser (Bill) and brother-in-law Bud Matney (Ronelle). Frank will be deeply missed by friends and family. Visitation from 10:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. with Service starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1003 Wyoming Street, Bluefield, WV.
