Edward Lambert

Princeton, WV Edward W. Lambert 64 of 1661 Glenwood Park Road Princeton, WV departed this world on Tuesday December 14, 2010. Born April 7, 1946 at Welch, WV he was a son of Kathleen McLaughlin Lambert of (Glenwood) Princeton and the late Samuel Lambert, and was a wonderful grandfather. He will always be remembered by his kindness and generosity to everyone. He especially looked forward to Christmas time and sharing with those who had less. He was business oriented and had several successful companies in the Glenwood Park area. He was a fast pitch softball player and enjoyed the travel team and competition. He was a very proud person and lived his life accordingly, including the end. His battle with cancer was fought and won by his terms. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Joseph and Rachel Lambert and maternal grandparents George and Ollie McLaughlin. He is survived by his mother Kathleen M. Lambert of Princeton, WV, a daughter Laura Lee Lambert Wood and her husband James of Moorefield, WV, his ex wife and best friend Cheri Lambert of Bluefield, WV, step sons David Seay and his wife Fonda of Durham, NC, Robert Seay and his wife Kathy of Bluefield, and Thomas Seay of Durham, NC, sister Kay Bevins and her husband Phil of Glenwood, brothers; Bill Lambert of Glenwood, James Lambert and his fiancé Kathy Padgett of Dahlonega, GA, sister-in-law Edna Lambert of Lawrenceville, GA, grandchildren Autumn and Abigail Wood of Moorefield, WV, step grandchildren David Seay, Tanner Seay and Emma Seay and special friends Sonny Thomason, Brian Moody and Brian and Teresa Cullison. Memorial services will be conducted Friday December 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mercer Funeral Home & Crematory with Dr. Allen A. Hammond officiating.
