Charles Connor Litton Jr.

Bluefield, WV- Surrounded by family and many close friends, Charles Connor Litton, Jr. 60 of Bluefield, WV died December 12, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Born June 27, 1955 in Norton, VA he was the son of the late Charles Connor Litton, Sr. and Leonora Portrum Litton. Connor was a 1974 graduate of John I. Burton High School in Norton, VA and a 1978 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Connor was Vice President of Davis, Litton, Harman Associated LLC, was a member of the Bluefield WV Rotary Club and was honored with Rotarian of the year in 2010-11. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bluefield, VA. Connor was inducted into the John I. Burton Hall of Fame in 2015 having earned numerous athletic awards: Running back of the year in Southwest Virginia 1972; Three time all Lonesome Pine Division Defensive Lineman; Two time all Lonesome Pine Division Defensive Back; earned 14 letters in five sports at John I. Burton; John I. Burton High School football jersey #23 retired; member of 1972 Virginia Group “A” Football Championship Team In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Isabell and Lynn Litton. Survivors include: Wife, Mitzi V. Litton; Daughters, Meredith Leigh of Charleston, WV and Claire Virginia of Huntington, WV ; Sisters, Mary Jane Honeycutt and her husband Mike of Asheville, NC and their two sons Preston and Stewart, Nancy Elizabeth Litton of Kannapolis, NC and her daughter Katie; sisters-in-law Marsha Goodall of Princeton, WV and her husband Bobby, Tammy Lambert of Granite Falls, NC and her twins Abbey and Emily Lambert, brother-in-law Mickey Varner of Princeton, WV; and close cousins Patrick Cline of Norton, VA, Scott and CD Litton of Pennington Gap, VA Also surviving include many close friends and colleagues: Lonny Bailey, Gary Boyce, Charlie Carter, Mike Coppolo, David Daniels, Earl Davis, Eddie Davis, Tony Gilly, Cliff Hughes, David Kersey, Hampton Lazenby, Johnny Lazenby, Ronnie Millsap, David Moore, Kenney Murphy, John Paul Murphy, Randy Stevens, David Taylor, Peter Taylor, John Thrower, Bill Tuck. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Scott and Dr. Brad Scott officiating.
