Aaron Russ Boothe

Aaron (Russ) Boothe, 71, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday May 20, 2023, passed away at his home in Bluefield VA. Born on January 18, 1952, in Tazewell, Virginia, Russ was a man of great humility who understood the value of hard work and the importance of gratitude in life. He was the son of the late Pierce & Flossie Boothe. He grew up in a large family of 5 brothers and 2 sisters, that were always very close to one another. He graduated from Bluefield High School. Russ spent most of his career working for Joy Manufacturing in Bluefield VA, before opening his own very successful business, W&B Fabricators, in 1988, which he and his wife Wanda owned and operated until their recent retirement. From a very young age, Russ and his siblings were taught & understood hard work was a way of life. There would be no free ride in this crazy thing called life. When he was not hard at work, Russ was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones at their Claytor Lake home, which he considered a gift from the Creator. His life was a testament to the values of respect for all of creation, kindness, and generosity. When not at the lake he enjoyed relaxing at their home in Bluefield, VA. He enjoyed listening to the music of Phil Collins. He was survived by his wife Wanda Williams Boothe; his children Carmen (Jeff) Robbins, Aaron Steven Boothe, Angie (Teddy) Coppola, Andi (Robbie) Lester. Brothers: Craig (Margie) Boothe, Arnold Boothe (Arnie) & Steve (Marci) Boothe; Brother-in-law Don (Laurie) Arthur Grandchildren: Ayden Spitzer, Silas and Noah Robbins, Gabriel and Hunter Boothe, Corey and Jia Coppola, McKenzie, Devin, Sydney, and Ava Lester. And a host of nieces, nephews & cousins that thought the world of him. Russ was preceded in death by his father Pierce L Boothe, mother Flossie A Boothe, brother Luther L Boothe, brother Allen A Boothe, sister Evangeline (Sis) Boothe Poteet, sister Lois Boothe, and sister-in-law Sandy M Boothe, all of whom he held in great reverence. He was of the Baptist faith, where he found solace in the teachings of the faith. Funeral services for Aaron (Russ) Boothe will be at Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV on Tuesday May 23 2023 at 6:00 pm where friends and family will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until the service hour Donations in Russ Boothe's name can be made to Second Chance for Cats 874 Littlesburg Road Bluefield, WV 24701. In honor of his faithful companion, he affectionately named Kat who brought him much joy. A special thanks to MSA Home Health & Hospice and his nurses Paige and Gail. There care and kindness will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
