Bluefield, VA- Mr. Guy E. Wiley, 79, of 104 View Court, Bluefield, VA, died Friday March 23, 2007 at the Westwood Health Care Center after a long illness.

  Born July 4, 1927 in Bluefield, WV he was a son of the late Clyde E. and Allie Linkous Wiley and step- mother Emla B. Landreth Wiley.

   Mr. Wiley worked most of his life for Evans Chevrolet in Pocahontas, VA and Bluefield, WV. Guy was a graduate of Beaver High School class of 1945 and attended Bluefield College. Mr. Wiley was also a lifetime member and Elder Emeritus of the First Christian Church of Bluefield, WV, the American Legion, Bluefield Country Club (Elks Club), and a charter member of the Richwood Golf Club. Mr. Wiley was also a veteran of World War II having served his country proudly.

   In Addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Clyde E. Wiley, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC.

   Those who survive him are; wife, Doris Perdue Wiley of the home; two sons, Guy E. Wiley, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, and Mark S. Wiley of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Betty Irvin of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren; April Workman and husband Eric of Bluefield, VA, Adam Wiley and wife Amy of Tazewell, VA, and Zachery Wiley of Lexington, KY; two great-grandchildren, Eric Ryan and Jacob Workman both of Bluefield, VA.

   Funeral services will be conducted Monday March 26, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Allen A. Hammond officiating. Entombment will follow at the Grandview Memory Gardens located in Bluefield, VA. Serving as pallbearers will be members from the First Christian Church Sunday School Class.

   Friends may call Sunday March 25, 2007 at the funeral home from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; First Christian Church, 2200  Bland Road, Bluefield, WV 24701or the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc., 1250 Hylan Boulevard, Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305.
