
Bluefield, WV- Henry
Warner Graham, Jr., 83, of 655 Rockbridge Street, Bluefield, WV, died Tuesday
January 23, 2007 in a Bluefield hospital.
Born June 24, 1923, in
Avalon, PA, he was the son of the late Henry W. Graham, Sr. and Margaret W.
Graham. He was a retired Sales Engineer of mining supplies and equipment,
having spent 34 years with Bertrand P. Tracy Co., National Mine Service Company,
Fairchild, Inc. and Banks Miller and Tidewater Supply Companies. Mr. Graham was
also a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a
member of Society of Mining Institutes, AARP, Riley-Vest Post #9 of the American
Legion, and was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Marie Williams Graham; an
infant son; one brother, Thomas Graham; and two sisters, Mary L. Christie and
Esther Auld.
Survivors include two
daughters, Dr. Patricia Amateis and her husband Ralph of Blacksburg, VA and
Carol Brooks and her husband Al of Bluefield; one sister, Sarah F. Schaffer of
Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Eric, Samantha and Lindsay Amateis all of
Blacksburg and Kevin Brooks of Bluefield; step-grandsons, Alan and Chris Brooks
of Boise, ID; nephews, Kipps and Stuart Williams of OK; Don Horner of FL and
John Auld of PA; nieces Arlene Nichols of PA, Peggy Engelmore of PA and Karen
Clark of NC.
Funeral services will
be conducted on Friday January 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home
Chapel with Dr. Charles Miller and Dr. Don Scott officiating.
Burial will follow at
Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley. Friends and family will serve as
pallbearers.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, January 25th from
6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
