Bluefield, WV- Ruth Hoback Dobbins, 80, of 600 Albemarle Street, Bluefield, WV, died Tuesday January 2, 2007 in an Oak Hill, WV hospital. 

     Born July 10, 1926 in Bowling Green, FL, Mrs. Dobbins was the daughter of the late W.T. Hoback and Grace Buckles Hoback.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bluefield and was formerly a secretary for the Department of Health and Human Resources. 

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dobbins was preceded in death by one brother Ernest Hoback.

     Survivors include two sons, Robert Dobbins and his wife Sherri of Newport News, VA and Joseph Dobbins of Bluefield; two sisters, Colleen Dishman and her husband Bill of Atlanta, GA and Frankie Dickenson of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Danny Hoback of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, Dylan Dobbins of San Francisco, CA and Jessi Dobbins of Newport New, VA; and one great grandchild, Colin Dobbins also of San Francisco. 

     Graveside services will be held on Saturday January 6, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Jim Davidson officiating.

     The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at the funeral home by 2:00.
