Bland, VA-  Ruth Almeda Law Bradley Bertok, 85, of 615 Main Street, Bland, VA (formerly of Bluefield, WV) died Wednesday February 21, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

     Born March 12, 1921 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Law and Hattie Foster Law.  Mrs. Bertok was a member of First Baptist Church in Bluefield and had been employed by Bluefield News Agency Citizens Insurance Agency and Bluefield Sanitarium.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Emmett, Charles and Jimmy Law; and one sister, Alice Travis.

     Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann Bradley Hoosier and her husband Michael of Bland; two sons, Frank Bertok and his wife Emma of Virginia Beach, VA and Byron Bertok and his wife Debra of Skipwith, VA; one brother, Ollie Law and his wife Sue of Bluefield; one sister, Geneva MacDerment and her husband Dick of Jamesville, NY; four grandchildren, Tammy Hamilton and her husband Jeff Pauley of Bland, VA, Bradley Bailey and her husband Chris of Bluefield, and Taylor and Katie Bertok both of Virginia Beach, VA; one great-grandchild, Coleman Hamilton; and 20 nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be conducted on Friday February 23, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Fisher officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.  until the time of services on Friday evening.

     A graveside service will be held on Saturday February 24^th at 2:00 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
