Bluefield-
Mary Virginia Gibson, 85, of
409 Memorial Ave., Bluefield, WV, died Tuesday February 20, 2007 in a Bluefield
hospital.
Born May 10, 1921 in
Bluefield, WV she was a daughter of the late Charles B. Gibson, Sr. and Cora
Ollie Thompson Gibson. Miss Gibson was a member of the Quota Club International
of Bluefield, Bluefield Chapter #66 Order of Eastern Star, and a member of
Trinity United Methodist Church of Bluefield. Miss Gibson was a graduate of
Beaver High School and Bluefield College and was formerly employed by Counts
Automotive for fifty years as a secretary.
In addition to her
parents she was preceded in death by a brother; Charles B. Gibson, Jr.
Miss Gibson is survived
by numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be
conducted Saturday February 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Mercer Funeral Home
Chapel with the Dr. Charles Miller and Dr. Don Scott officiating. Burial will
follow at the Monte Vista Park Cemetery located in Green Valley. Serving as
pallbearers will be friends and family.
Friends may call at the
funeral home Friday February 23, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
