Lambert McKenzie, 93, of Ft. Myers, formerly of Bluefield, WV, passed away
peacefully at the home of her son in Freeport, FL on Sun, Apr 9, 2006. Born in
Bluefield, Sep. 9, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Millard K. and Harriet
B. Lambert. She was married to Frank G. McKenzie in 1930 and lived in Princeton
and Bluefield until her husband’s death in 1976, then moved to Ft. Myers, FL.
Active in civic affairs in Bluefield, she was also a leader in College Ave
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Hampton, Hurst, and
Raymond Lambert. She is survived by: son F. Wayne McKenzie & wife Lynn of
Sarasota FL & their family: Jon & Becky, Andy & Megan of Sarasota FL; Steven &
Christy, Mac, Jennifer & Ian of Jacksonville, FL; son D. Keith McKenzie and wife
Becky of Bluefield, WV & their family: Kent & Penny, Quinn & Tempest of Durham,
NC; Ross of Washington, DC; son Charles E. McKenzie and wife Wendy of Freeport,
FL & their family: Heather of Tallahassee, FL; Brian of Tampa, FL. The family
will receive friends at the home of Keith McKenzie, 812 Albemarle St, Bluefield,
WV on Tues, Apr 18 between 5:00 pm & 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be
conducted, grave side at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley, by the Rev
David Hall, Pastor, Bland Street UM Church at 2:00 pm on Wed, Apr 19, 2006. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Covenant
Hospice, 101 Hart Street, Niceville, FL 32578.

Bluefield is in charge of arrangements. Those attending the graveside service
can meet at the cemetery or at the Funeral Home 30 min prior to the service.
