Bluefield, WV- Myrtle Vest, 83, of 2 Redden Village, Bluefield, died Tuesday September 12, 2006 in a Bluefield hospital.

     Born September 27, 1922 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Roland and Stella Kidd Roland.  She was a former manager of Dairy Queen. 

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Grayson Vest.

     Survivors include four daughters, Ann Dix and her husband Bob of Marion, VA, Ealine Sneed of Princeton, WV, Donna Wimmer and her husband Greg of Bluefield, WV, and Emma Broyles of Bluefield, WV; one son, Paul Vest of Bradenton, FL; two sisters, Edith Gilpin and her husband Tom of Bluefield, VA and Helen Rose of Nitro, WV; four grandchildren, Kerby Sneed and Ada Sneed of Norfolk, VA and Tina Marie Footen and Marc Footen of Nampa, Idaho; and three great grandchildren, Kai Footen, Marina Footen and Baby Junior Footen. 

     Funeral services will be conducted Thursday September 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Atkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley.

     The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
