Margaret Anna Vest, 82, of the Laurels of Chatham Nursing Home, formerly of 633
Pearl St., Bluefield died Friday September 1, 2006.
Born July 14, 1924 in
Grapefield, VA, she was a daughter of the late John Wiley and Ruby Eula
Christian Blessing. Mrs. Vest was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Bluefield, was a Past Worthy Matron of Bluefield Chapter #66 Order of Eastern
Star and was a 50 year member.
In addition to her
parents Mrs. Vest was preceded in death by her husband; Charles O. Vest.
Survivors include, a son;
John Vest and wife Joan of Salisbury, NC, two daughters; Patricia Thompson and
husband Duke of Chapel Hill, NC, and Mary Vest of Carrboro, NC, three
grandchildren; Erin Vest of Chapel Hill, NC, Leigh Vest of Chapel Hill, NC, and
Scott Thompson of Chapel Hill, NC.
Funeral services for Mrs.
Vest will be conducted Monday September 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the Mercer
Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ed Fisher officiating. The family will receive
friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers

St., Charleston, WV 25301, First Baptist Church, 1325 Augusta St., Bluefield, WV
24701, or a local charity.
