Bluefield-
Maxine Rouse Belcher, 85, of Bluefield, WV, died Monday November 13, 2006 in a
Bluefield hospital.
Born March 28, 1921 in
Ashland, WV, she was a daughter of the late Max W. and Anna C. Gregory Rouse.
Mrs. Belcher was a member of the Bland Street United Methodist Church and a
graduate of Northfork High School class of 1938 and McClain’s Business College.
Maxine was also a member of the Sewette Club and was a volunteer for nineteen
years at Bluefield Regional Medical Center and was formerly employed by
Bluefield Furniture.
In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Edward Belcher, a
brother; Ralph Rouse, and a sister; Norma Jeanne Harrison.
Survivors include, three
daughters; Marla Creasy of Bluefield, Bettilee Kay and husband Jack of
Montpelier, VA, and Kathryn Snider and fiancé Jeff Smiley of Bluefield, WV, four
grandchildren; Paul Creasy and wife Mary of Richmond, VA, Natalie Snider of
Richmond, VA, Robert Kay of Savannah, GA, and Emily Kay of Montpelier, VA
Funeral services for Mrs.
Belcher will be conducted Wednesday November 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the
Bland Street United Methodist Church of Bluefield with the Rev. David l. Hall,
Jr. officiating. Internment will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens
Cemetery located in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be friends of the
family and members of the church.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home Tuesday November 14, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00
P.M.

choice.
