Bluefield, WV – Carlos Hampton Walls, Jr. 85, of 202 Crabapple Lane, Bluefield, WV died Tuesday May 8, 2007 in a Bluefield nursing home.   He was born December 22, 1921 in Capels, WV and was the son of the late Carlos H. and Ethel Alexander Walls. Mr. Walls was a World War II veteran and had worked in the mining industry. He attended East End Baptist Church and was a life long member of the Disabled American Veterans, serving as past State Commander.

In addition to his parents, preceding Mr. Walls in death was a brother Bill Walls and a sister, Sylvia Walls.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-four years, Nancy Kelly Walls of Bluefield; a daughter, Billie Marie Carpenter and husband Jerry of Ruckersville, VA; a son, Kelly Walls and wife Sandra of Bluefield, WV; a sister, Bernice Sauchuk of Beckley, WV and a brother, Peter Walls of Florida; four Grandchildren, John Harris Jr., Alyson Walls, Melanie Cline and Gina Ramseyer; three Great-Grandchildren: John Harris, III, Ryan Ramseyer and Kyle Ramseyer.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Walls will be conducted on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Danny Gunnoe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions if desired be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Mercer-Princeton #31 Chapter.
