Bluefield, WV – Joye Wade Viar 81 of 104 Tamarack Drive Three Springs Farm Bluefield died Monday June 18, 2007 at a Princeton hospital.

    Born September 27, 1925 in Roanoke, VA she was a daughter of the late Frank Wade and Clyde Weaver Wade. She attended College Avenue Baptist Church and was an avid reader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Faye Wade Ivanhoe and a brother Bill Wade.

    She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carlton L. Viar of Bluefield, a daughter Faye Louthan and her husband Chuck of Bluefield, VA, a son Carlton L. Viar, Jr. and his wife Patti of Charlotte, NC, a sister June Wade Taylor of Pittsburgh, PA, a brother Dr. & Mrs. Ben Wade of Lakeland, FL, six grandchildren Scott Louthan, Stacy Louthan and Kelli Anne Louthan all of Bluefield, VA, Heather Viar, Erika Viar and Catherine Viar all of Charlotte, NC.

    Services and entombment will be held Wednesday June 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the mausoleum chapel of Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA with Pastor Mike Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the cemetery.

    The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association P. O. Box 3980, 415 Dickinson Street, Charleston, WV 25339-3980, or to Bluefield Community Church 534 Virginia Avenue Bluefield, VA 24605.
