Bluefield- Billie Delano Galligher, 65, of 2900 Bland Rd., Bluefield, WV, died Wednesday July 19, 2006 in a Bluefield  hospital.

   Born May 14, 1941 in Erwin, TN, he was a son of the late Charles Fountain and  Della Helton Galligher.

   Mr. Galligher was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in Vietnam as a Tech Sergeant and was awardedthe following; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters, Small Arms Expert Markmanship ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters,  National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Vietnam Gallantry Award, and was formerly employed by the Pop Shop #7.

   In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen and Pauline Galligher and a brother; Charles Galligher.

   Survivors include his companion, soul mate and best friend Edith Mae Hinkle, two daughters; Terri Hagan and husband John of Allen, TX, Cyndi Teuscher of Springfield, MO, and a son; David Galligher and wife Renee of Boise, ID, a sister; Ruth Jones of Stockton, CA a brother; Buddy F. Galligher and wife Midge of Bluefield, WV, eight grand children; A.J. and Joey Hagan, Crystal, Shelly, Samantha, Jennifer, Ryan, and Tori Teuscher, and special friends Doug and Sally Goff.

   Funeral services for Mr. Galligher will be conducted Sunday July 23, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. from the Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel located in Bluefield, VA.

   The family will receive friends at the Mausoleum Chapel Sunday July 23, 2006 one hour prior to services. Serving as pallbearers will be; Randy Galligher, David Galligher,  Harry Humphrey, Raymond Walker, Richard Cline, and Tommy Melvin. Honarary Pallbearers are; Jerry Kade and Charles Watson.

   Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Council.

   In lieu of flowers memorial, contributions if desired, can be made to; The American Cancer Society, 1808 Jefferson Street, Bluefield, WV 24701.
