Bluefield, VA
– Elizabeth Hillier Davis died on December 23, 2006. Mrs. Davis is the daughter
of William F. Hillier, Jr., M.D. and Ann Kramer Hillier and the granddaughter of
Mr. & Mrs. D. Raymond Kramer and Mr. & Mrs. William F. Hillier.
Mrs. Davis was preceded
in death by her father and grandparents and is survived by her mother, husband
C. William Davis, daughter and son-in-law Kramer Davis Luxbacher and Mark George
Luxbacher, and son, Specialist Charles Hillier Davis, United States Army.
Mrs. Davis was born on
November 11, 1952 in Asheville, North Carolina and lived in Bluefield for the
majority of her life. She attended The University of North Carolina at
Greensboro and was graduated from The University of Georgia and Bluefield State
College School of Nursing.
Mrs. Davis was a member
of Christ Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and a past
member of the Vestry, having served as Senior Warden.
Funeral services will be
held at Christ Episcopal Church Bluefield on Wednesday December 27, 2006
beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Russ Hatfield officiating. Friends may call at
the home.
The family requests
that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity or to Christ
Episcopal Church Building Endowment Fund.
