Howard “Steve” Pennington, 54, of 3329 Clearfork Creek Road, Bastian, VA, died
Wednesday , December 20, 2006 at his residence.
Born February 11, 1952
in Ronceverte, WV he was the son of the late Kenneth Junior Pennington and
Winnie Ruth Pennington Watts. Mr. Pennington was a veteran of the U.S. Marine
Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother,
Kenneth Wayne Pennington.
Survivors are his wife,
Mary Jane Johnston Pennington of the home; one daughter, Stephanie Elizabeth
Pennington also of the home; two sisters, Mary Kendrick and her husband Danny of
Roanoke, VA and Barbara Lynn Hensley and her husband Ted of Vinton, VA; and
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will
be conducted Saturday December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Mercer
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in
Bluefield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive
friends on Friday December 22nd from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the
funeral home.
