
Bluefield-
Reba D. Carmain, 80, residing in Bluefield, WV, formerly of Augusta, GA and
Jacksonville, FL died Monday August 28, at Health South rehabilitation Center.
Born February 15, 1926,
she was the daughter of the late Phoebe and Ambers Denney. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by; husbands, William Cone Price and Lester
Earl Carmain, sisters; Orril Denney, Varee Denney, and Betty Ann Denney, a
brother; Avis Denney, daughters; Phoebe Alison Jennings and Janice Smith; a
step-daughter; Doris Madeline Clark; and a step-son; William Price.
Survivors include, a
grandson; U.S. Army Sgt. Dwayne Denney White and wife Karen E. White, step-sons;
Col. James E. Price (ret.), Bob Carmain, and Jimmy Carmain, step-daughters;
Carol P. Clark, Theresa Baker, and Leslie West; son-in-law; Wallace Wayne
Smith; nine other step-grandchildren and seventeen step-great grandchildren.
Reba worked in
Jacksonville, FL and Augusta, GA, as a medical transcriptionist before retiring.
She spent many years caring for her sisters with Muscular Dystrophy. She was a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Funeral services for Mrs.
Carmain will be conducted Saturday September 2, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. from the
Mercer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens
Cemetery located in Princeton, WV.
The family will receive friends at the
funeral home from 1:30 until time of services on Saturday. Friends and family will serve as
pallbearers. In lieu of flowers friends are asked to make contributions to the
Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon. Those wishing to send messages of
