Paul Hale Arney, 81, of 3716 Carey Street, Bluefield, WV, died Sunday October
22, 2006 in a Bluefield hospital.
Born April 25, 1925 in
Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Dallas Emory and Mary Lou Cassell Arney.
Mr Arney was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 23 years of service. He
was a veteran of WW II having served his country in the U.S. Army and was of the
Baptist faith.
In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by; four sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include; his
wife, Helen Ruth Lowe Arney of the home, two daughters; Connie Sue Burress and
husband Donald of Bluefield, Liesia Diane Cooper and husband Jimmy of
Tazewell, VA; a son, Ronnie Lee Arney and wife Cathy of Bluefield, a sister;
Phyllis Oliver of Bluefield, a brother; Bernard Arney and wife Betty, three
grand children; Dr. Jonathan Burress, Jimmy Cooper II, Shawna Owens, three
great-grandchildren; Kate Burress, Matthew Burress, and Aaron Owens.
Graveside services will
be conducted from the Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel Wednesday
October 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. George Stamper officiating. The
family will receive friends at Mercer Funeral Home Tuesday October 24, 2006
from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
