Frank M. Duesing, 86, of 16 Riverbend Estates, Bluefield, Va., died Wednesday
October 11, 2006 in a Bluefield hospital.
Born October 9, 1920 in
Ashland, KY, he was the son of the late David and Virginia Duesing. Mr. Duesing
was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He also retired
as an Engineer with Norfolk & Southern Railway after 42 years of service. He
was a member of Bluefield Community Church and was also a member of the
Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn E. Duesing; two brothers, Don
Duesing and David Duesing, Jr.; and two sisters, June Duesing and Virginia Mae
Akers.
Survivors include three
sons, Franklin Duesing and his wife Nancy of Bluefield, VA, Ronnie Duesing and
his wife Janet of Alett, VA, and Steven Duesing and his wife Kimberly of
Bluefield, VA; brother, Bill Duesing and his wife Denise of Richmond, VA;
sister, Mary Lou Duesing of Richmond, VA; brother Michael Duesing and his wife
Jean of Richmond, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Charlie and Bess Altice of
Bluefield; nine Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
Graveside services will be
held Saturday October 14, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel at Monte
Vista Park Cemetery with Pastor Mike Baker officiating.
The family will receive
friends at the cemetery on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Military graveside rites
will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Council.
