
Bluefield, WV – Billie Jo
White Gilley 69 of 801 Rockbridge Street Bluefield, WV died Thursday September
29, 2005 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC.
Born
February 22, 1936 in Fall Branch, TN, she was the daughter of the late Marvin
Shipley White and Charlotte Baxter White.
Ms. Gilley
lived in the Bluefield for the last 42 years. She was the owner of The Village
Card Shoppe for 20 years.
Billie always
had a smile to give and time to listen. She will be forever missed by her three
sons; Dwight Anthony Gilley and his wife Kim of Pinehurst, N.C., Jon Tabor
Gilley and his wife Cardean of Goodview, Va. and Mark Todd Gilley and his wife
Petra of Moneta, Va.; granddaughters, Tabatha Gilley Carter and husband Waylon,
Amber Gilley, Breann Gilley, Jessica Gilley and Rebecca Gilley; two brothers
Bobby Lee White and wife Deanna of San Antonio, Texas, Roger Kent White and wife
Linda of Johnson City, Tennessee; one sister Yeteva Theriese and husband Dr.
Robert McCall of Scottsdale, Arizona; and nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The family
will receive friends Sunday, October 2, 2005 at 5:30 pm at Mercer Funeral Home &
Crematory of Bluefield. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Mercer
Funeral Home with Dr. Allen A. Hammond officiating.
In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Kate B.
Reynolds Hospice Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
