
Bluefield, WV- Julia (Judy) Francis Combs Malamisura,
73, of Westwood Nursing Home, Bluefield, VA, passed away Tuesday October 18,
2005.
Born March 25, 1932 at
Cabin Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Pearly L. Combs and Beulah B.
Clark Combs.
Julia was a seamstress
for Thornton Co. of Bluefield for many years and later was a well-known
self-employed seamstress. She later became an Interior Decorator for Stone &
Thomas.
In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Estelle Casto of Charleston,
WV, Marjorie F. Combs Otto of Michigan, Dorothy M. Combs Hager of Bluefield,
Candace L. Combs Kidd of Princeton and one sister-in-law, Sally Combs of
Princeton.
Survivors include two
sons, Paul Lester Malamisura and wife Tonia of Stafford, VA, and Darrel Patrick
Malamisura of Bluefield, WV; one daughter, Debbie Gustin of Stafford, VA; three
brothers, James L. Combs and wife Emma of Bluefield, Otto Combs of Princeton, WV
and Russell Combs and wife Melba of Princeton, WV; one sister, Lucille Combs
Johnson and husband Vic of Augres, Michigan; two grandsons, Eric Malamisura of
Stafford, VA and Craig Gustin of North Bend, Oregon; one granddaughter, Stacey
Malamisura of Stafford, VA, several nieces and nephews and her former husband,
Patsy P. Malamisura.
Funeral services will be
conducted Saturday October 22, 2005 at 11 AM from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel
with Don Hammond, deacon of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Burial
will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Serving
as pallbearers will be Paul Malamisura, Darrel Malamisura, Eric Malamisura,
Raymond Hager, Mike Pendleton and Jo Pendleton.
The
family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM.
