Bastian, VA
Carl David Wolfe, Sr. 87 of 7733 Clearfork Creek Road, Bastian, VA died Monday
November 7, 2005 in a Princeton hospital. Born January 14, 1918 in Rocky Gap,
VA. He was the son of the late Wiley Addison and Rosa Willis Wolfe and was a
member of the Clearfork Baptist Church in Bastian and was retired from R & T
Electric and had been employed by the Feutchenberger Farms for many years.
In
addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Shawn Lambert and
a brother Rawley Wolfe and two sisters Kathleen Akers and Ethel Kimberlin.
Surviving Mr. Wolfe is his wife Evelyn Tomlinson Wolfe, four daughters, Barbara
Cumbee and her husband Charles Richard of Pilot, VA, Sandra Coward and her
husband Gary of Lutrell, TN, Sue Ellen Pruett and her husband Clifton of
Jacksonville, NC, Janice Andrews of Bluefield, WV, two sons, Dennis Larry Wolfe
and his wife Carol of Dublin, VA, Carl David Wolfe, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth
of Dublin, VA four sisters, Ann Looney, Lorraine Kell both of Bluefield and Lena
Mae Kimberlin of Saltville, VA and Lucille Wall of Princeton, WV. Also
surviving are nineteen grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will
be held for Mr. Wolfe on Thursday November 10, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Mercer
Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Alan A. Hammond officiating. Burial will
follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Princeton, grandsons will
serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive
friends on Wednesday November 9, 2005 from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral
home.
