Bluefield, WV – Mayme Lindamood Neel 99 a lifelong resident of Ceres, VA died Tuesday January 3, 2005 at The Maples.

    Born July 4, 1906 in Bland County, VA she was a daughter of the late Willis Grant Lindamood and Martha Bostonia Lindamood. She attended Tennessee Wesleyan College and Radford College, was a homemaker and a member of the Red Oak Union Church in Ceres, VA, where she had served 68 years as the pianist of the church.

   The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin H. Neel, a sister Erma Jane Foglesong, brothers Clyde, Rush, Chloe, Paul and Billy Lindamood.

    She is survived by a daughter Joyce N. Mustard and her husband Bob of Bluefield, 4 grandchildren Marty Mustard and Mark Mustard both of Bluefield, WV, Tim Mustard of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Todd Mustard of Deland, FL, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Red Oak Union Church in Ceres, VA with The Rev. Ken Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery where grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.
