
Bluefield, WV-
Margaret Ellen Hambrick, 85, of Old Bluefield Princeton Road, Princeton, WV,
died Thursday January 5, 2006 at a Bluefield nursing home.
Born October 3, 1920 in
Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Levi Clark and Ruby Lewis
Clark. Mrs. Hambrick was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and
was an independent and strong willed lady. She was of the Methodist faith and
had been a lifelong resident of four seasons country. She was also a
homemaker.
In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Hambrick; one son,
Gene Ray Hambrick, and three brothers.
Survivors include one
daughter, Doloris A. Derry of Bluefield, WV; three sons, Douglas G. Hambrick of
Bluefield, VA, Robert Wayne Hambrick of Bluefield, WV and Gary Dwight Hambrick,
WV; one sister, Shirley Johnson of Bluefield, WV; ten grandchildren, 11 great
grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a loving companion, Princess.
Funeral services will
be conducted on Saturday January 7, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mercer Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn
Memorial Park in Bluewell.
Serving the family as
pallbearers will be Jamie Hamilton, Andy Robertson, Bo Duncan, Jason Delp,
Derrick Rathell and Willie Worley.
The family will
receive friends on Friday January 6, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
