Helen L. Ray, 89, of 518 Wheeling Avenue, Bluefield, WV, died Thursday January
5, 2006 in a Bluefield nursing home.
Born March 21, 1916 in
Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ela Hubbard Patrick and Clara
Mae Horton Patrick. Mrs. Ray was a homemaker.
In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Lincoln Ray and
brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one
son, Jeffrey Wayne Ray and his wife Michelle of Falls Mills, VA; two sisters,
Lillian and Dorothy of Bluefield, VA; four grandchildren, Brandy Taylor of
Bluefield, WV, Kevin Ray of Bluewell, WV, Bryan Ray of Bluewell, WV and Colby
Ray of Falls Mills; and three great-grandchildren, Zack, Austin and Eric
Taylor.
Funeral service will
conducted on Monday January 9, 2006 at 11 AM from the Mercer Funeral Home
Chapel.
The family will
receive friends Sunday January 8, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
