Lois Studebaker Burnley, 85, died Thursday January 19, 2006 at Westwood Medical
Center.
Born February 29,
1920 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Mamie and John M.
Studebaker. She was a graduate of Beaver High School and Bluefield College was
also member of the College Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Burnley, Jr.;
brothers and sisters, Anna Margaret Battin, Bernice Bradshaw, Jack M.
Studebaker, Jr., Gene Studebaker and Donna Beatty.
Survivors include her
daughter, Donna Burnley McCoy and her husband Larry McCoy of Huntington, WV; her
son, Hank Burnley of Bluefield,WV and friend Cathy Smith of Princeton, WV; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson of
Grandville, MI, L. Lee McCoy, Jr. of St. Albans, WV, Ronnie Burnley and wife
Jami of San
Diego, CA, and Jonathan Burnley of Bluefield; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will
be conducted Saturday January 21, 2006 at 11 AM in the Mercer Funeral Home
Chapel with Pastor Brenda Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at
Maple Park Cemetery in Bluefield. Serving the family as pallbearers will be
Charlie Dodson, Fred Dodson, John Banco, Charlie Blevins, Jason Blevins and Lee
McCoy.
The family will
receive friends Friday January 20th from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to College Avenue Baptist
Church, Jefferson Street, Bluefield, WV 24701.
