Bluefield-
Billie Rae Farmer, 72, of
2427 Edgemont Dr., Bluefield, WV, died Friday January 20, 2006 in a Princeton
hospital.
Born October 17, 1933 in
Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Claude L. and Mary Lou Hurd Lewis.
Mrs. Farmer was a homemaker, a dedicated wife and mother; she was also a member
of the Maple View Church of Christ.
In addition to her
parents she; was preceded in death by her husband; Julius Farmer, Sr., three
brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include; two
sons, Douglas Dean Farmer and wife Dorothy of Bluefield, WV, Julius Farmer, Jr.
and wife Janie of Lerona, WV, a daughter Joanne Williams and husband Gary of
Bluefield, WV, one sister; Delores Burnopp and husband Gary of Kingsland, GA,
four grandchildren; Christopher Farmer and wife Aleah, Lee Farmer Patton and
husband Jimmy, Deana Hicks and husband Michael, and Jodi Walker, and two
great-grandchildren; Alex Patton and Bradley Hicks.
Funeral services for
Mrs. Farmer will be conducted from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel Monday January
23, 2006 at 2 P.M. with Pastors Tony Reed and Terry Lambert officiating. Burial
will follow from the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Princeton.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be grandsons and friends of the family.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
