Palm Harbor, FL
– Beulah Marie Gibson Douthat 90 of Palm Harbor, FL and formerly of Bluefield,
WV died Monday January 30, 2006 at a Palm Harbor hospital.
Born October 6, 1915 in
Bluefield, WV she was a daughter of the late Robert Wiley Gibson and Nannie Bell
Gibson. She was a longtime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bluefield
and retired as a bookkeeper from the Town N Tweed shop. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Reed Douthat, a sister
Barbara Ann Farley, and daughter in law Debra Hill Douthat.
She is survived by a
daughter Carolyn Clutts and her husband Judson of Bradenton, FL and a son
Charles David Douthat of Madison, AL, seven grandchildren Barry Brooks, Jr. and
Michael David Brooks both of Bradenton, FL, Eric Brooks of Ft. Levin worth, KS,
Michael Anthony Farley of Gulf Port, FL, Chris Farley of Bluefield, WV, Charles
Reid Douthat of Madison, AL and James Ashby Gochenour of Staunton, VA and 9
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
conducted Monday February 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Mercer Funeral Home &
Crematory of Bluefield with Rev. Meredith Williams officiating. Entombment will
follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell where family members and
friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive
friends Sunday February 5, 2006 at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Douthat Memorial at
Immanuel Lutheran Church
