Bluefield-
Ruth Ona Bailey, 92, of 509 W. Cumberland Rd., Bluefield, died Friday February
17, 2006 at her home. Born June 6, 1913 in Glen Rogers, WV, she was a daughter
of the late Jordan and Anna Stiltner Ray. Mrs Bailey was a member of the
Y.M.C.A. and attended the Community Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by
her sister; Velva M. Umberger, and two brothers; Jarvie Ray and Young Ray
Survivors include; her
husband Oscar Bailey of the home, a daughter; Barbara Gibson of Peoria, AZ,
three grandchildren; Krista Cain of Largo, FL, Cynthia Gibson of Peoria, AZ,
James Granger of Bluefield, WV, two great-grandchildren; Laura Miller of
Hampton, GA, Jay P. Granger of Beckley, WV, three nephews; Billie Umberger,
Charles Lee Ray both of Princeton, WV, Tommy Ray of GA, two nieces; Francis
Simmons of MI, and Frieda Wimmer of Princeton, WV.
Funeral services for Mrs.
Ruth O. Bailey will be conducted Monday February 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the
Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Jones officiating. Burial will
follow from the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Princeton, WV.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
